James H. Breasted (1865-1935) was the foremost influence in introducing Americans to the culture of ancient Egypt. He founded the Oriental Institute at the University of Chicago and was the author of History of Egypt and Ancient Times: A History of the Early World, among other works.

One of the most famous archaeologists and Egyptologists, he has many books and Egyptian archaeological discoveries, but his most famous book of all is the book "The Dawn of Conscience", in which he proved with confirmed historical and archaeological evidence that the ancient Egyptian civilization is the cradle of morals, values and civilization and its source from which it spread to various parts of the world.
