Urban planning

Books number: 11

Urban planning or urban planning is the specialization that deals with all aspects of the urban area and includes multiple disciplines such as management, politics, law, economics, sociology, engineering, environment and others. Regional planning is similar to it except that it includes a broader area than urban or urban planning. It is difficult to classify urban planning within one category due to the multiplicity of related disciplines, but it is academically classified under the built environment or engineering. Urban planning aims at evaluating urban and rural life, and finding engineering solutions to urban problems such as overpopulation, slums, traffic crises, and organizing movement between residents and services. There are multiple theories of regional and urban planning aimed at regulating urban life.
