Computer drawing or digital drawing is the use of digital tools to produce images with direct intervention from the artist, usually through a pointing device such as a digital tablet or mouse. It differs from software that creates artwork by computer using mathematical models created by the artist. It is also distinct from programs that allow digital manipulation of images in that it gives the artist the opportunity to draw an original drawing "from scratch".
