Muhammad Ali El-Khouli

Muhammad Ali Al-Khouli was born in the city of Tulkarm in Palestine in 1939. He received his education in the schools of his city, then joined Dar Al-Moalemeen College in Amman, from which he obtained a diploma in 1958. After that, he joined the American University in Beirut, from which he obtained in 1966 both diplomas in the art of education, A BA in English. In 1971, he obtained a master’s degree in applied linguistics and English from the same university, then obtained a doctorate in applied linguistics and English from the same university in 1975. He worked as an English language teacher in Jordan’s schools from 1958 until 1963, then a lecturer of the English language at Al-Hussein College in Jordan from 1966 until 1967. Then he went to Abu Dhabi, where he worked as an English language teacher from 1967 until 1971, and then as an English language teacher in Kuwait from 1971 until 1975. He worked as a professor of English at the University of Riyadh since From 1975 to 1990, then Professor of English at Al-Isra University of Jordan from 1991 to 1998, and Professor of English at Philadelphia University of Jordan from 1998 to 2002, then Professor of English at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan. He was Dean and Head of the English Department For twelve years in several Arab universities, he participated in a group of international conferences on English language, language teaching and translation, and he is a member of several scientific societies, including the TESOL International English Language Association. TESOL in the United States of America, the Association of English Language Professors in Arab Universities, the Jordanian Translation Association, and others.
