ما من شك في أن صدور كتاب "النبي" كان نقطة التحول الحقيقية في حياة جبران العقلية وفي توجيه طاقته الإنتاجية، فقد إستمد جبران من تجاربه ومعارفه وآلامه ما ربط به علاقة الإنسان بالإنسان. وكان لابد له أن يتطور ويتسامى بعد ما أفرغ ما في جعبته من محن تعرض لها في مختلف أطوار حياته. وحدد جبران طريق غده بعد "النبي" فقرر أن يتناول علاقة الإنسان بالطبيعة في "حديقة النبي" وعلاقة الإنسا بالله في "موت النبي"، وكان عليه أن يهيئ نفسه لهذه المحاولة الكبيرة، على أنه مات قبل أن يصدر كتابه "موت النبي" فكان موته هو الكتاب الذي أراد أن يحدد به علاقة الإنسان بالله.

Khalil Gibran

A Lebanese-American philosopher, poet, writer, and painter, he was born on January 6, 1883 in the town of Bcharre, northern Lebanon, and died in New York on April 10, 1931 of tuberculosis. He immigrated when he was young with his mother and brothers to America in 1895, where he studied art and began his literary career. He is best known to the Western world for his book, "The Prophet", which was published in 1923. Gibran is also the best-selling poet, after Shakespeare and Lausy. In his writings, there were two directions, one of them taking strength and revolting against the dogmas of religion, and the other following the tendencies and enjoying life.
