ومما جاء على الغلاف الخلفي للكتاب: إن دارسي كتاب العهد الجديد يواجهون اليوم أزمة٬ لأنهم غير قادرين علي الإتفاق بشأن أسئلة أساسية٬ مثل: هل أدعى المسيح نفسه أن يكون المسيح؟٬ وهل زعم أنه ابن الله؟٬ وهل زعم أنه سيكون ملكا علي اليهود ؟٬ وهم غير قادرين كليا على إيضاح العديد من الأشياء التي قام بها.

وهم غير قادرين حتى على تقديم إيضاح مقنع لصلبه٬ لأنه لا وجود لما يمكن أن يكون المسيح قد صرح به أو فعله ــ كما جاء في الأناجيل ــ من شأنه أن يستفز إما القادة الدينيين اليهود أو الرومان إلى الدرجة التي أقتضت قتله.

Ali Al Shouk

A thinker who combined the philosophy of art, literature, translation and mathematics. He is Professor Ali Al-Shawk, who has published many books in this field, including: The Fantasy Thesis, A Date with Death, the Secrets of Music, the Chemistry of Words, the Modern Scientific Revolution and its Aftermath, a Tour of the Regions of Language and Legend, and others. He was born in Baghdad, Karada Maryam, in 1930, and studied there until he was sent to the United States to study mathematics. Then, after graduating in 52, he was appointed as a mathematics teacher in Al-Kadhimiya schools.
