الأنثربولوجيا (علم الإنسان) الذي يدرس القوانين التي تسود حياة الإنسان، وتطورها في المجتمعات القديمة والمعاصرة، وعلى الرغم من أن الدراسات المبكرة التي قام بها علماء غربيون؛ قد تم توظيفها لأغراض استعمارية، فإن انخراط عدد من الباحثين العرب في إثراء هذا العلم؛ ترجمةً ودراساتٍ وأعمالاً إبداعية، يقدم زاداً معرفياً يسد الفراغ الواضح الذي لم تقدمه الدراسات الأكاديمية، ويشكل أرضيةً لانتشال العالم العربي من حالة التخلف والغيبوبة الحضارية التي يعيشها.
Abu Bakr Ahmed Baqadir
Born in Makkah, raised and educated there, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Petroleum and Minerals in 1972, and then a Master’s and Doctorate in the field of social sciences from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, USA in 1979.
Professor of Sociology and Anthropology at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah

He worked since his graduation at King Abdulaziz University / Department of Sociology and was head of the department and the Islamic Studies Department, and he is a professor in the department now.
He worked as Vice President of the Institute for Minority Affairs at the university and obtained a letter from the University of Cambridge in 1989. He is an editorial member of Arab and international scientific journals, including The Future of the Islamic World, Oriental Studies, and was an editor in Al-Iqtisad magazine.
A member of many Arab and international societies such as the Arab Sociology University, the Arab Council for Social Sciences, the Middle East Scholars Association, Sociologists in America, the International Conference on Sociology and others. He participated and contributed to many seminars and lectures inside and outside the Kingdom in relation to social studies and the work of Adviser to some ministries in the Kingdom.
