His work first gained recognition at the Upstream People Gallery in 2008, and recently in 2016 a collection of his aquatic works titled Saturated Life was shown at the Great Lakes Aquarium. He has taught classes covering science illustration and nature-inspired watercolors, and in recent years has leveraged his experience creating books illustrating techniques for other emerging artists.
