Halil Inalcik
Halil Ibrahim Inalcık (Turkish: Halil İnalcık) (May 26, 1916 - July 25, 2016) was a Turkish historian.
He received a doctorate in history from the Faculty of Arts, Ankara University in 1940 AD. He worked as a professor of Ottoman history at Bilkent University in Ankara.
He received the King Faisal International Prize - Department of Islamic Studies in the year 1432 AH / 2011 AD, for his book “The Economic and Social History of the Ottoman State”, Part One.
