Stephen D. Tansey
I taught for most of my career at Bournemouth University (UK) and its predecessors. My first academic job was at Ife University, Nigeria (now Obafemi Awolowo University) where I witnessed the outbreak of the civil war in which Eastern Nigeria attempted to seceed as Biafra. I also also taught part-time for the Open University, the WEA, and Exeter University.
Although my primary interests and qualifications are in Politics, I also have Masters degrees in Management, and Information Technology, and a diploma in Education.
In retirement I am active in the University of the Third Age and am writing a book on Ethics and Politics in a Secular Age.
Pulling the face, is Freya my youngest grandchild. (She looks older and a bit more serious these days).
