Youssef Al-Bustani is a Lebanese writer and bookseller. Al-Bustani was born in Lebanon in 1892 AD, after which he moved to Egypt, where he worked as a peddler of books in Cairo and established his well-known library in the Faggala area, through which he published the works of the great Levantine writers, such as: “Gibran Khalil Gibrani” and “Amin al-Raih” And “Ahmed Faris Al-Shidyaq” and others, he also worked in the trade of ancient and rare manuscripts; He was known to the libraries of Europe and America, and at the end of his life he worked to form a syndicate of book dealers. Al-Bustani has several valuable literary and historical books, among which we mention: “The History of the First Balkan War”, “The Great Eagle”, and “Proverbs of the East and West”. Al-Bustani died in 1925.
