Patrick Joseph Buchanan (born November 2, 1938) is an American politician, commentator, writer, and author who was a great adviser to United States presidents such as Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan. He sought the Republican nomination in 1992 and 1996 and ran for the Revolutionary Party in the presidential elections in 2000.
