Moroccan writer born in 1945 in Rabat, Morocco. He wrote many books in Arabic and French, and also wrote in magazines such as Islamic Studies. He continued his studies at the Moulay Youssef High School, then at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences in Rabat. He holds a state doctorate from the New Sorbonne University in 1982, on the topic of narration and cultural patterns in the Maqamat al-Hamdani and al-Hariri. He has been a professor at the Faculty of Arts, Mohammed V University, Rabat, Agdal, since 1968. He has given many lectures, participated in cultural meetings in Morocco and abroad, and is a member of the Moroccan Writers Union. He has taught as a visiting professor at several European and American universities including Bordeaux University, New Sorbonne, Collège de France, Princeton University, Harvard University. His works have been the subject of articles, press commentaries, books, and university research, in Arabic and French. Some of his works have been translated into languages ​​including "English, French, German, Spanish and Italian".
