Abu al-Mawahib Abd al-Wahhab ibn Ahmad ibn Ali al-Ansari, known as al-Sha’arani, the ascetic scholar, the modern jurist, the Egyptian Shafi’i al-Shadhili, the Sufi. Sufis call it the "God's Pole". (898 AH - 973 AH). The order gradually declined after the death of al-Shaarani, although it remained active until the nineteenth century. Syed Al-Sharani was the prominent Sheikh Ali Al-Khawas. Besides the monumental Sufi writings, he also composed a summary of a treatise for Al-Suwaidi (1204-1292; 604-690 AH). His seminal work, Al-Mizan Al-Kubra, compares the rulings of the four Sunni schools of Sharia as if they were a single school. He considered the differences, depending on the difficulty, either rigor (determination) or exemption.
